A freelance translator since 2002 (full time since 2008), I specialize in legal translation, as well as translation of academic transcripts, business and financial documents, medical records, and genealogical records.

I offer certified translations at no extra cost. If required, I can also certify my translations before a notary public.

I thoroughly edit and proofread all my translations, in addition to performing any needed terminology research.

I do not use machine translation. Instead, where appropriate, I translate using SDL Trados Studio and other computer-assisted translation (CAT) software (the basic tool of most professional translators), as well as terminology software. The basic feature of CAT software is a translation memory (TM). A TM enables the translator to reuse repeated units of text for added consistency, increased speed, and enhanced accuracy.
